If you're starting to cook on a dry pan you might want to prepare it with a little left over bacon grease or even butter. The grease helps keep the temperature of the bacon even across its entire surface and helps discourage the curling of bacon on the ends.
You may want to cover your bacon as well. Keeping your bacon covered will help keep the temperature on the top of the bacon as well as that touching the actual heated pan as even as possible.
Cooking at a low temperature also ensures that the bacon won't be burnt or curl on the ends. Its all about slow-and-low.
